ORDER

(Made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) This contempt petition is filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order of this Court in WP No.25702 of 2023 dated 31.08.2023, by the respondent herein.

2. This Court, by order dated 31.08.2023, directed the Tahsildar, the second respondent in the writ petition, to remove the encroachment in S.No.504/13 to an extent of 110 sq.meter, in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the third respondent in the writ petition, who is the alleged encroacher.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader on 28.08.2024, reported that the encroachment had already been removed, in compliance with the order of this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner sought time to verify the said fact.

4. Despite sufficient time being granted, today also, learned

counsel for the petitioner seeks further time to confirm the statement of learned Special Government Pleader made on 28.08.2024.

5. This Court finds no valid reasons to adjourn this matter. Learned Special Government Pleader has also produced a communication received from the Tahsildar concerned about the removal of encroachment. It is stated in the communication that in the presence of the petitioner, survey was conducted and the encroachment had been completely removed. Photographs would also show the removal of encroachment. Therefore, recording the statement of learned Special Government Pleader, this contempt petition is closed.
