By consent, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner to renew and transfer the licences FL1-25 & FL2 in the name of the petitioner. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given the representation as early as on 02.08.2017, the respondent has not passed any order so far. 4.Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Government Advocate (Puducherry) taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law. 5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order 6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
