PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to direct the trial Court to expedite the trial and direct disposal of the HMOP.No.660 of 2021, now pending before the Subordinate Judge, Alandur, Chennai.
For Petitioner :Mr.S.D.Ramalingam O R D E R The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to the Court below to expedite the trial in HMOP.No.660 of 2021 and dispose of the same within a stipulated period.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner/wife filed a petition for divorce, on the ground of nonconsummation of marriage in HMOP.No.587 of 2018, on the file of
2 C.R.P.(PD)No.3101 of 2022 Subordinate Court, Tambaram. Subsequently after bifurcation of Court, the same was transferred to Subordinate Judge, Alandur and re-numbered as H.M.O.P.No.660 of 2021.
3. In view of the fact that the petition is pending from the year 2018, the petitioner sought for a direction to dispose of the same within a stipulated period.
4. A perusal of the e-Court entry furnished by the petitioner would suggest after transfer, the matter was referred to Lok Adalat on 30.08.2022 and the same is pending before the Lok Adalat.
5. In view of the fact that the O.P is of the year 2018 and there is no progress in the matter for the past four years, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the Court below to dispose of the main original petition within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
