O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police herein to hand over the body of the deceased Mrs.Sharadha Ammal, who died on 05/03/2024 at Naranamangalam Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, kept at Government Hospital, Cheyyar, Tiruvannamalai District, to the petitioner and his family members for performing the last rites and decent cremation in accordance with the petitioner's customs.

2. Heard Mr.Manoharan Sundaram, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. The relief as sought for in the writ petition has become 2/4

infructuous since the cremation is already over. In view of the same, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
