Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider petitioner representation dated 27.4.2015 to conduct Village Folk Dance and other cultural programs on 7.5.2015 at Sri Muthu Kumarasamy Temple at Santhaipettai Ground Solasiramani Paramathi Vellur T.K. Namakkal District and provide police protection for the same.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that he is the Chairman of Sri Muthu Kumarasamy Temple, Paramathi, Vellore Taluk, Namakkal District and he submitted an application on 27.4.2015 to the respondent praying for permission to conduct village folk dance on 7.5.2015 and on finding that no orders have been passed, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Lakshmikanthan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondent.
4. This court, after considering the limited scope of relief sought for, without going into the merits, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.4.2015 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law on or before 5.5.2015 and communicate the decision to the writ petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. ssk.
