ORDER

By order dated 01.12.2016 in WP No. 323 of 2016 filed by the petitioner herein, this Court directed the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondent herein requesting to treat the earlier representation given by him on 07.12.2015 as an appeal and on receipt of the same, the respondent was directed to pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Complaining non-compliance of the said order dated 01.12.2016, the petitioner has come forward with this contempt petition.

When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent brought to the notice R. SUBBIAH, J of this Court that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Theyagaraya Nagar District, Theyagaraya Nagar, Chennai - 600 017 has passed an order dated 04.03.2017 in compliance with the directions of this Court and it was also received by the petitioner.

In the light of the order dated 04.03.2017 passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Theyagaraya Nagar District, Theyagaraya Nagar, Chennai - 600 017, this contempt petition is closed. No costs. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 04.03.2017 in a manner known to law, if he is aggrieved by the same.
