PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to appoint 1/4

ORDER
Heard Ms.R.Sripriya, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 2.
2.The writ petition has been filed, seeking for a direction to the first respondent to appoint an Enquiry Officer to dispose of the Appeal, filed by the petitioner, as per Letter No.2411/A1/2019 dated 08.08.2022, within a stipulated time frame, fixed by this Court. 3.As against the order of the District Registrar dated 12.04.2019, the petitioner had preferred an Appeal before the second respondent herein, which is also taken on file. Incidentally, the same individual, 2/4
namely, Mr.N.Sekar, had passed the original order while he was serving as a District Registrar and now has been promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Registration before whom the Appeal is pending. In his letter dated 08.08.2022 also, he had requested the first respondent to appoint some other Appellate Authority to hear the petitioner's Appeal. 4.In this background, the first respondent herein is directed to either take up the Appeal by himself or to appoint any other Deputy Inspector General of Registration as an Appellate Authority to hear the petitioner's Appeal as against the order passed by the District Registrar dated 12.04.2019, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
