This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in STC.No.1015 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Nagapattinam, thereby taken cognizance for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, as against this petitioner. 2.

When the matter was posted for admission on 21.03.2023, at the request of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the matter was adjourned to 23.03.2023. On 23.03.2023 also, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner took an adjournment and the matter was adjourned to 29.03.2023. On 29.03.2023, again the learned counsel took adjournment and the matter was posted on 05.04.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner did not take any steps to list the matter for admission. This matter is pending for the past three years, without even ordering notice to the counter party. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that already the entire case bundle along with change of vakalath were already handed over to the petitioner.

However, till today the petitioner did not engage any counsel to represent her case. It shows that the petitioner has no interest to proceed with the case.

In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for default. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
