O R D E R

Alleging disobedience of the order made in W.P.No.38176 of 2006, dated 07.08.2009, present contempt petition has been filed.

2.On 31.03.2015, officers appeared. Their future appearance was dispensed with. Order in the writ petition, was passed on 07.08.2009. Entire amount of Rs.1,59,079/-, has been paid, only in 2015. Therefore, considering the enormous delay of nearly six years, respondents were directed to file counter affidavit and thus, the matter, is listed today, at the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, after obtaining necessary orders, from My Lord, Hon'ble the Chief Justice, High Court, Madras.

3.The Director of Agriculture, Chennai, 2nd respondent herein, has filed a counter affidavit, setting out the dates and events, until the orders were passed, in G.O(D) 47, Agriculture (AA4) Department, dated 13.02.2015. 4.At paragraph 5 of the counter affidavit, the Managing Director, Agriculture Department, Chennai, has fixed responsibility on Tmt.R.Geetha, Assistant, Directorate of Agriculture and Thiru.S.kasirajan, Assistant, Office of the Joint Director of Agriculture, Sivagangai, for the delay. In the counter affidavit, Director of Agriculture, Chennai, has sought for unconditional apology, for the inordinate delay, in implementing the orders of this Court in W.P.No.38176 of 2006, dated 07.08.2009.

5.Accepting the explanation offered, this Court only deems it fit to state that in future, the respondents should look into the matters, where orders passed by the High Court, are implemented within the time frame or if they are aggrieved, to take recourse promptly. With the above observations, contempt petition is closed.
