O R D E R

Heard Mr.K.Sukumaran, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.S.T.S.Murthy, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2.Learned Additional Advocate General has produced the copy of the Government Order in G.O.(Ms) No.379, Revenue and D.M. [ULC-I] Department, dated 07.12.2017, and the consequential order passed by the Commissioner of Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, dated 08.12.2017, wherein a direction has been issued to the Assistant Commissioner, Urban Land Tax (ULT), Tambaram, to issue necessary instructions to the Tahsildar, Pallavaram to effect mutation of the

revenue records in the name of the petitioners in respect of the lands in question. In accordance with the said direction, the Assistant Commissioner, ULT, Tambaram, has sent a communication to the Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, Pallavaram dated 12.12.2017, for immediate compliance.

3.Learned Additional Advocate General assures this Court that within the shortest possible period of time, the mutation will be effected in the name of the petitioners.

4.This statement is taken on record and the Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, Pallavaram is directed to comply with the direction issued by the Government and the authorities by effecting mutation of the records and issuance of Patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the lands comprised in Survey No.187/1A1B in Pammal Village measuring to an extent of 4896 square meters within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, this contempt petition stands closed. 14.12.2017 abr Index : Yes/No
