Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to register the sale deed dated 18.12.2019,bearing Temporary No:81384634 of 2019 in the file of the respondent.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to register the sale deed that was submitted by the petitioners on 18.12.2019.

2. The case of the petitioners is that they have purchased the property in the year 1983 and both the petitioners decided to sell the property to one Mr.A.M.Selvakumar. The sale deed was also executed on 18.12.2019 and it was presented for the registration before the respondent. According to the petitioners, the respondent assigned the document only a temporary number and thereafter, the document was never registered. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking appropriate directions for the inaction on the part of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent.

3. Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the petitioners have been assigned only a temporary number and it is not clear whether the petitioners have resubmitted the document for registration. In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the document continues to remain in the office of the respondent and only on receipt of the document, a temporary number was assigned by the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials available on record, there shall be a direction to the respondent to take the document viz., sale deed dated 18.12.2019 on file and proceed to register the same, if it is otherwise in order. If there is any objection in registering the document, appropriate orders shall be passed by the respondent. In any case, the respondent shall take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
