This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the second respondent not to detain the petitioner's husband under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

3. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
