ORDER

Mr. P. Kannan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the respondents. With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to give 1st review benefits from 01.11.2013 with arrears and all consequential benefits to the petitioner, forthwith.

As the petitioner who was appointed as Driver on 08.07.2007, has claimed the benefit of clause 3 of 12(3) Settlement dated 13.04.2015 on the basis of representation dated 13.03.2017 and the said representation having not been considered, he has filed the present writ petition seeking the aforestated relief.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents sought eight weeks time to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2017. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2017 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Costs made easy.
