O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the 4th respondent (Vice President of Sithalapakkam Panchayat) from signing any cheque on behalf of Panchayat without approval of the Panchayat Board Councillors' Resolution.

2.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the Writ Petition has become infructuous for the reason that the term of the 4th respondent had already expired.

3.Since the term of the 4th respondent had already expired and that the petitioners are seeking to forbear the 4th respondent from signing any cheque, the relief sought for in the Writ Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
