O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to continue the petitioner in service till the end of the academic year 2011-2012 i.e. upto 31.05.2012 as per G.O.Ms.No.281, Education Department, dated 13.02.1981.

2.The grievance of the writ petitioner is that he was relieved from service on attaining the age of superannuation and he was not permitted to continue in service till the end of the academic year and continuation till the end of the academic year to be considered based on the guidelines issued by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Government. Continuation till the end of the academic year cannot be claimed as a matter of right. It is only at the discretion of the authorities and on verification of the service records. However, in the case on hand, the writ petitioner attained the age of superannuation during the academic year 2011-2012 and now, after a lapse of many years, the claim for continuation of service cannot be considered by this Court. 3.Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
