Respondents Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order dated 28.03.2024 made in Crl.O.P.No.7325 of 2024.

ORDER

Mr.M.Velmurugan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CB-CID, Kancheepuram and Mrs.N.Thirupurasundari, Inspector of Police, CB-CID, Kancheepuram are present before this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, an affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, CB-CID, Kancheepuram was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder:- "10. I respectfully submit that on 03.06.2025 a letter has been sent to the Branch Manager, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, Anna Nagar, Chennai for favour of de-freeze the account No.0158150050800575 of R.R.Associated which is running by the petitioner/accused A1 and the account was freezing by the CBCID on 20.08.2022."

It is clear from the above that the police has already sent a communication dated 03.06.2025 to the second respondent Bank requesting for de-freezing the bank account of the petitioner.

3. In the light of the above stand taken, it is clear that the bank account of the petitioner has already been de-freezed and it is left open to the petitioner to operate the bank account. This contempt petition is, accordingly, closed.
