ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the disqualification slip issued by the second respondent dated 06.02.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was qualified to apply for the post of Grade-II Police Constable/Grade-II Jail Warden and Fireman. As per the Notification for recruitment of the post of Grade-II Police Constable/Grade-II Jail Warden and Fireman, the petitioner applied for the same and he was called written examination. After he qualified in the written examination, he was called for a physical examination. His height was measured as 169.60 cm. However, the minimum height is 170 cm. Therefore, his candidature was rejected by the disqualification slip dated 06.02.2024. The only contention raised by the petitioner is that in the last year, he had participated in the physical test, in which, his height of measurement as 170 cm. Therefore, the petitioner sought

for re-measurement of his height.

4. On perusal of the disqualification slip, it is found that the petitioner's height was measured as 169.60 cm and in the appeal his height was shown as 168.80 cm. It is below the requirement height of 170 cm. Therefore, re-measurement of the physical measurement cannot be ordered.

5. In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the disqualification slip issued by the second respondent dated 06.02.2024. Thus, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
