Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 4(1)(a), 4(1-A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.61 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of one lorry tube containing 30 liters of ID Arrack illegally.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case.
5. Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is having two previous cases.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner is having two previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
