The petitioner worked as Tashildar and on attaining the age of superannuation, retired on 30.6.2005. Thereafter, proceeding under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules was initiated against him. The present prayer is to direct the first respondent to pass final orders pursuant to the charge memo dated 9.8.2007 as expeditiously as possible.

The first respondent is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner by charge memo dated 9.8.2007, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
