O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to reconstruct the Service Register of the petitioner and to take action against the person who is responsible for the destruction of the petitioner's service register.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents filed a detailed counter stating that K.Ramasmy is responsible for destruction of the Service Register of the petitioner and also some other persons and actions has already been initiated against him and a Criminal case has also been filed against him in C.C.No.313 of 2013 for the offences under Sections 409, 477 of IPC and he is placed under suspension and disciplinary proceedings have also been initiated against him.

3. Today, when the Writ Petition is taken up for further consideration the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the relief sought 2/5

for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition has already been resolved thereby, cause does not survive any more for adjudication in this Writ Petition.

4. The petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for reconstruction of his Service register. According to the respondents, they had already reconstructed the Service Register of the petitioner and copy of the same has also been made available to the petitioner. Though, initially the petitioner has pointed out certain defects and latches in the reconstructed Service Register, however, later after completion of verification, it is reported that there were no defects.

5. Since the prayer sought for is fulfilled, no purpose would be served to keep this Writ Petition pending. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
