ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking a mandamus to the respondents to consider his representation dated 24.12.2025 and pass orders on merits by granting all back wages, pensionary benefits retirement benefits and other emoluments.

It is the case of the petitioner that while his mother S.Anitha was working as a Women Sub-Inspector of Police in All Women Police Station, Mylapore, Chennai, a case was registered against her under Section 2(c) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, in which, she was found guilty and removed from service on 10.01.2018, challenging which, she has filed a criminal appeal before this Court, in which, she was acquitted of all the charges. It is the further case of the petitioner that during the pendency of the criminal appeal, his mother had died and therefore, he impleaded himself as a party in the criminal appeal. Thereafter, he handed over a copy of the order passed by this Court to the third respondent in the year 2024 and since there was no response from the respondents, he gave representation dated 24.12.2025 to the respondents to provide all back wages, pensionary benefits, retirement benefits and other emoluments. Since the same has not considered so far, he has filed the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation dated 24.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, for which, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

In view of the limited relief sought herein, which has not been seriously opposed on the side of the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2025, if not considered earlier and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
