ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned III Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of

the petition in H.M.O.P.No.900 of 2012 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the husband and respondent is the wife. The marriage between the petitioner and respondent was conducted on 27.08.2014 as per Hindu rites and customs. Due to dispute, both of them are living separately. The petitioner filed H.M.O.P.No.900 of 2012 on 07.03.2012 against the respondent for divorce on the ground of cruelty. The matter has been adjourned to several hearings for filing counter by the respondent. From that date onwards, that petition is pending without any progress. In the circumstances, the petitioner has come out with this Civil Revision Petition for early disposal of H.M.O.P.No.900 of 2012.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, considering the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the matter, I direct the learned III Additional

Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to dispose H.M.O.P.No.900 of 2012 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
