Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to lay the link/connecting road from Pudhukudiyan Lane to Perumulai Road via Naalangadi Street based on the resolution of the third respondent dated 29.02.2012.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the resident of Thittagudi, Selection Grade Town Panchayat and according to him, the present portion of Pudhukudiyan Lane from main road upto 100 meter portion is very narrow and it is just 8 feet wide and therefore, in this regard, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner along with others gave a representation to the respondents 2 and 3 for widening the road and the third respondent, taking into consideration of the same, has passed a resolution dated 29.02.2012 for putting up a link/connecting road and since nothing had happened thereafter, came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mrs.S.Kala, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents 2 and 3.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to take into consideration the resolution passed by the third respondent dated 29.02.2012 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
