Shyamala Surendar ..Respondent(s) Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioners application dated 29.01.2026 and thereby direct the respondents 1 and 2 to measure to property and erect the milestones with the help of 3rd respondent in Grama Natham Survey No.20/1B, as per Natham Patta No.1083, as per Patta No.20/1B Part, New Survey No.605/5, Ponnamallee High road, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai District to an extent of 108 sq.m as per Patta No.1227 stands in the name of petitioner and father and pass such further orders.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by her, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 29.01.2026 seeking for survey and demarcation of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 5 to 6, notice to them in this writ petition is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the first respondent, if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections if any from the respondents 4 to 6 as well as any other party whom the first respondent deems it fit to enquire. Accordingly,

this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the land in question, the first respondent is directed to issue notice to the respondents 4 to 6, and also to any other party, whom the first respondent deems it fit to enquire.

(b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the first respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(c) If any need arises, the first respondent is permitted to submit a petition for police assistance, and upon receipt of such request, the third respondent police shall render necessary police assistance for conducting survey and demarcation of the subject property.

No Costs.
