PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the Respondent Police to register a FIR on the basis of the petitioners' complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai dated 18.12.2021 and pending on the file of the Respondent Police vide Rc.No.07/AC AN/Range/CPO/PG/2022. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the Respondent Police to register a FIR on the basis of the petitioners' complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai dated 18.12.2021, pending on the file of the Respondent Police vide Rc.No.07/AC AN/Range/CPO/PG/2022. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (crl.side) would submit that the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.12.2021 has been enquired in current paper No.PG1(2)/W2/345/R2 and closed as civil in nature on 12.02.2022.

3.In view of the above, the Respondent is directed to furnish the closure report to the Petitioner within two weeks. On receipt of the same, the Petitioner is at liberty to challenge the closure report by filing appropriate protest petition before the jurisdictional Court as per the mandate of Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of "Union Public Service Commission Vs. S.Papaiah and others" reported in (1997) 7 SCC 614.
