Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's husband Kannan aged about 32 years son of Subramani @ Ramachandhiran, detained under Act 14/1982 vide order CMP.No.84/Goonda/Salem City/2017 dated 21.11.2017 on the file of the Commissioner of Police, Salem City and now confined at Central Prison, Slem, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith by calling for the records and set aside the order of detention bearing CMP No.84/Goonda/Salem City/2017 dated 21.11.2017 on the file of the Commissioner of Police, Salem City.

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Petitioner, husband of the detenu herein, viz., Kannan aged about 32 years son of Subramani @ Ramachandhiran, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 21.11.2017 against her husband branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention http://www.judis.nic.in
C.T.SELVAM, J., AND N.SATHISH KUMAR, J., AP of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner herein dated 21.11.2017, has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.122, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIV] Department dated 12.01.2018 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
