PRAYER This Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of Constitution of India seeking Writ of declaration to declare that the proposed selection announced by the 4th Respondent pursuant to the Press Statement published in the "Daily Thanthi" dated 21.10.

2015 to fill up the 80 posts of Cooks in the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Hostels and Schools under the control of the 3rd Respondent in Salem District without calling for eligible list of candidates including the petitioners from the District Employment Exchange Office is null and void and unconstitutional and consequently direct the Respondents to call for all the list of eligible candidates including the petitioners who belong to Backward Class, Most Backward Class, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes from the District Employment Exchange, Salem District, Salem, namely, the 5 th respondent for the post of Cooks in the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Hostels and Schools under the control of the 3 rd respondent in Salem District and to appoint the petitioners as cooks in the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Hostels and Schools.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous and nothing survives further for adjudication in this matter and he has also made an endorsement in the Court bundle to that effect.
