(The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner association representation dated 22.02.2021 to grant house site patta.

2. The members of the petitioner association are differently abled persons. The grievance of the petitioner association is that, they have made an application seeking house site patta to the 2nd respondent District Collector right from the year 2010. But, so far, no order has been passed. According to the petitioner, earlier the Commissioner for differently abled persons has also sent a recommendation to the 2nd respondent District Collector on 01.02.2021. Even thereafter, no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner association.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that now, due to the assembly elections, the 2nd respondent is not in a position to conduct enquiry and pass suitable orders. He would submit that they will conduct enquiry and pass orders on the petitioner association representation within a period of three months.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought in the present Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner association and pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
