The petitioner/A1 has been convicted for the offence of murder under Section 302 of IPC and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life and also to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/-, in default to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment, vide the judgment dated 13.09.2021 passed in Sessions Case No.142 of 2013 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court, Villupuram. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has preferred the appeal and the present criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Having regard to the fact that the evidence as against the petitioner appears to be cogent and the discrepancies have also been explained by the prosecution before the trial Court, this criminal miscellaneous petition seeking to suspend the sentence stands dismissed. Page No.1/3
