ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non-compliance of the order dated 22.01.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.1194 of 2024, thereby directing the respondent herein to pay the interest on the belated payment of the terminal benefits to the petitioner at the rate of 6% per annum, commencing from the date of the retirement, till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the order of this Court has been duly complied with by the respondent, and the entire amount has been settled by way of cheque bearing No.145039 dated 24.06.2025 drawn in favour of the petitioner payable at the State Bank of India, Salem Branch, Fort Main Road, Salem. To that effect, he also produced the calculation memo filed by the respondent, along with a copy of the cheque, wherein the petitioner has also acknowledged. The same were taken on record.

Recording the above submission, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
