ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2 nd respondent to enquire and pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner on 11.08.2022.
2.Heard Mr.M.Sridhar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3.The petitioner is aggrieved by the patta standing in the name of the 3 rd respondent during the UDR Scheme and hence, the petitioner made a representation to the 1 st and 2 nd respondents. Whenever any mistake has taken place during the UDR Scheme, it is only the District Revenue Officer who has the jurisdiction to consider the representation and to make the necessary correction.
3/5 4.In view of the above, it is left open to the petitioner to submit a representation before the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai and seek for the necessary correction and issuance of patta. On receipt of the same, the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai shall afford opportunity to the petitioner and the 3 rd respondent and shall pass orders, as expeditiously as possible.
