Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 27.11.2014 and grant permission for running bunk shop at No.26C, Ethiraj Salai, near Indian Bank, Chennai 600 008, or allot a new alternative and suitable site to the petitioner within a time frame as stipulated by this Court and upon such allotment grant one month time to shifting the bunk shop from the present location to such new and alternative site.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) It is averred in the counter-affidavit with photographs produced that on inspection done on 21.11.2016, the bunk shop of the petitioner alleged to be in existence was not found, as it was removed some days back. The bunk shop is stated to have been causing hindrance to the free-flow of the pedestrian walk. 2.In view of the aforesaid stand, the writ petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly, disposed of. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2014 is closed.
