This Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act 1971 praying to punish the respondents for their wilful and deliberate disobedience and defiance of the order of this Hon'ble Court dated 02.02.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.1691 of 2023.

ORDER

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondents for their wilful and deliberate disobedience and defiance of the order of this Hon'ble Court dated 02.02.2023 in Crl.O.P.No.1691 of 2023. This Court, on 02.02.2023, in Crl.O.P.No.1691 of 2023, after considering the submissions of the parties, directed as follows:- "6.

Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned 2/6

Additional Public Prosecutor that, petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2023 will be considered, in the light of the threat perception and that decision has to be taken by Security Committee for providing Armed police escort, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.01.2023, in the light of earlier violent incidents that were committed against the petitioner, to the registration of the First Information Report in Crime No.115 of 2022 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. " Now, it is informed by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the Security Review Committee in its meeting held on 20.03.2023 at 4.00p.m decided not to provide security to petitioner DR.B.Ramaswamy, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and High Courts of India, since he is not facing any specific threat. In the said circumstances, this petition does not 3/6

require any order for the alleged commission of contempt of this Court's order. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the Security Review Committee's decision/order in the manner known to law. 4.
