(Electronics and Communication Engineering) undergone in between the academic year of 2012 - 17, by considering my representation dated 31.01.2026, within the time limit to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue the Original Degree Certificate to petitioner for the course of B.E.(Electronics and Communication Engineering) undergone in between the academic year of 2012 - 17, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.01.2026, within the time limit to be stipulated by this Court. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner pursued B.E. (E.C.E.) Course in the College of Vidhya Mandhir Institute of Technology, Ingur, Erode, affiliated to Anna University, Guindy, Chennai and completed the Course successfully in the academic year 2016 - 2017, however, the Original Degree Certificate has not yet been issued to the petitioner. 3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that Duplicate Degree Certificate was issued to the petitioner since the said College was closed and all the documents were destroyed and no original was retained by the private College 2/4

and hence, issuing Original Degree Certificate is not feasible and further submitted that the Duplicate Degree Certificate possessed by the petitioner is valid for all purposes and if any doubt arises in future, the same will be certified and clarified by the Anna University to the Employers or Institutions.

4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is closed. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to work out the remedy before the Consumer Forum for claiming compensation against the College. No costs.
