ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to pass an arbitral award in the claim petition filed by the petitioner with regard to the acquisition of the petitioner's land, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner's grievance in this writ petition is that, despite having filed the claim petition as early as on 20.10.2023 itself in respect of the acquired land of the petitioner, till date the 1st respondent has not passed the award.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Su.Srinivasan, learned Senior Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the 3rd respondent.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to pass an award on merits and in accordance with Page No.2 of 4

law, by adhering to the principles of natural justice on the petitioner's claim petition, dated 20.10.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass an award on the claim petition filed by the petitioner dated 20.10.2023 seeking compensation for the acquired land of his property by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
