PRAYER:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2021 and release the petitioner's brother namely Venkatesan, son of Dhanapal, aged 37 years, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison, Cuddalore, on 30 days ordinary leave. [Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2021 and release her brother viz. Venkatesan, who is detained at Central Prison, Cuddalore, on 30 days ordinary leave.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the wedding of the niece of the detenu is fixed on 25.04.2021. Under such circumstances, the leave application dated 12.03.2021 submitted on behalf of the detenu, may be considered in accordance with the rules and the respondents are directed to pass orders thereon on or before 20.04.2021.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
