This application has been filed seeking to extend the time limit of the Arbitral Tribunal consisting of Hon'ble Justice Mr.K.P.Sivasubramanian, Retd,, as the sole Arbitrator for a further period of nine months.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the applicant submits that the mandate of the arbitrator was expired on 13.03.2023 and this application came to be filed on 08.03.2023. Therefore, this application is filed well before the expiry date of mandate of the arbitrator.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent has no objection for allowing this application.

Considering the submissions made by both sides, this Court is inclined to extend the time of mandate of the arbitrator for a period of six months and accordingly, this application is allowed.
