PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the document No.7008 of 2010 executed by K.Arunachalam and others in favour of R.Sathiyamoorthy in respect of land comprised in Ayan Punjai Survey No.122/7 measuring 0.98 1⁄2 cents out of acre 1.97 cents of Elambalur Village, Perambalur Taluk, Perambalur District based on the order dated 29.02.2012 made in Na.Ka.A4/6217/10 passed by the 5th respondent, by considering the petitioners' representation dated 23.02.2021.

O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the sale deed dated 09.08.2010.
2. Admittedly, the 4th respondent Sub-Registrar has no power to cancel the sale deed. If at all, the petitioner has any grievance regarding the registration of sale deed, he should necessarily approach the civil court and get the sale deed set aside and he cannot approach the 4th respondent seeking for such relief.
3. Considering the above circumstances, the prayer sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted. Hence, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
