By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that he has been authorized by the Kongu Vellalar Koorai Kula Gounders living in and around the Arulmigu Athanoor Ammal Temple, situated at Padiaveedu Village, Thiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District. The petitioner would further state that the said temple is a denomination temple and belongs to the said community for a long period and the administration of the temple is always vested with the members of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the said community. The petitioner would further claim that there was a civil litigation and further that a scheme was also settled in O.A.No.52 of 1993 on the file of the 1st respondent. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.02.2015 to the 1st respondent praying for appropriate permission to conduct "Kumbabisegam" and though, it was acknowledged by the 1st respondent on 11.02.2015, he has not been favoured with any response and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Sethuraman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate (HR&CE), who accepts notice for the respondents.
4. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, this Court, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 10.02.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
