Pertaining to the legal position raised in this revision petition regarding correctness of the order passed by the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, rejecting the request to permit further investigation by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, SID-CBCID, who was entrusted to investigate the case registered in Crime No.480 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, D5 Marina Police Station, by the order of the Director General of Police, in his proceedings dated 16.07.2019, on the ground that the Inspector of Police, D5 Marin Police Station, had already filed final report and therefore, the petitioner has no locus standi to seek further investigation.

Hence, this Revision Petition is admitted. Notice to the respondent returnable by 22.06.2023.
