This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to register a case on the complaint dated 04.5.2016 given by the petitioner and to investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 04.05.2016, given by the petitioner, a case in CSR.No.411 of 2016 has been registered by the respondent-Police on 01.07.2016.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry expeditiously and during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1, otherwise the petition may be closed under intimation to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
