Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 7 herein to publish the criteria for evaluation of the applications, awarding of marks/scores/screening of the applicants and evaluation of the same and the order of merit of all the applications received and call for the petitioner for personal discussion and include the petitioner in the short list of candidates for selection for the post of Vice Chancellor in the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai-600 051.

The process of appointment to the post of Vice Chancellor in the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the University, made a submission that some other person one Dr.Balachandran was already appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the abovesaid University and therefore, the cause aroused for the purpose of filing of the present petition became vanished. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition. If at all any other grievance exists for the writ petitioner, it is left open to him to redress the same in the manner known to law.
3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CCC) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar Svn
