O R D E R
This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to initiate action and take steps in accordance with the representation dated 18.04.2016 submitted by the petitioner. 2.The case of the petitioner is that believing the words of the accused / partners of Kubera Auto Finance, the petitioner and others deposited huge sums of money and with an intention to swindle the money, the accused utilised the same for purchase of properties in their own names. On the complaints being made by one M.Muthusamy and others including the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.1 of 2015 and there is no further progress in the said complaints. The petitioner is stated to have deposited Rs.
70,000/- with the accused and as no progress has been made, he made a representation to the respondent police to initiate action and to attach the properties of the accused as per The Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act, 1997. Despite that, no action has been taken and hence, the present petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.
3.On the above facts, I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who has submitted that investigation would be conducted and appropriate action be taken on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2016.
4.In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the present Criminal Original petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to conduct thorough investigation in Crime No.1 of 2015 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2016 as expeditiously as possible and proceed further in accordance with law.
