O R D E R

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to dispose the petitioner's written Form 'A' submitted under Section 14 of the National Trust for Welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act,1999 on 11.09.2017 in accordance with law.

3. The case of the petitioner is as follows:

The petitioner's sister by name S.Meenakshi was born as a special child. The petitioner's father died on 06.08.2014, leaving behind the petitioner and his sister alone as his legal heirs. The mother of the petitioner pre-deceased his father. Now, the petitioner's sister is under the care & custody of the petitioner, after the death of his father. She suffers Cerebral Palsy disability and thus, she needs medical treatment. She needs https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

protection in all aspects through a guardian. Therefore, the lawful guardian has to be appointed for the petitioner's sister and consequently, he approached the Local Level Committee for appointing him a guardian for his sister under the National Trust for Welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act,1999 on 11.09.2017. The said application has not been considered by the respondent so far.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the said application dated 11.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
