.. Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents and their mens or representatives in any way from dispossessing the petitioners from the Schedule mentioned property.

O R D E R

Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to forbear the respondents from in any way dispossessing the petitioner from the Schedule mentioned property.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner claims that he along with other persons residing in M.G Nagar, Phase 2, Urappakkam West, Kancheepuram https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

District, for several decades and they have been issued with ration card, Aadhar Card and electricity connection to their respective properties. It is also stated that the petitioner and others are paying the property tax to their respective property.

5. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are trying to dispossess the petitioner and others from the respective premises without following any due process of law. It is seen that the petitioner already approached the second respondent/ District Collector by way of representation dated 04.12.2017 and also the first respondent on the very same day. Therefore, it is for the respondents, more particularly, the first respondent to consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and others.

Therefore, this Writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till an order is passed by the first respondent, the respondents shall maintain status quo in respect of the petitioner premises as on today. No costs.
