This matter earlier came up for consideration before this Court on 23.10.2024 and on 13.11.2024. On both the occasions, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal".
2. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption "For Dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner either in the pre-lunch or post-lunch session. In the circumstances, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the Writ Petition for non-prosecution.
3. Further, from the perusal of the material on record, it is noticed that, in this writ petition, the petitioner challenging the order of punishment dated 02.11.2005 i.e., after a lapse of about a decade. Absolutely, there is no reason assigned in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition for the delay in filing the writ petition.
4. In the circumstances, the writ petition is dismissed for non-application, as well as on the ground of delay and latches. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
