11989/S4/2007 and set aside the same as being arbitrary and illegal and consequently directing the respondents to forthwith enforce conversion and issuance of driving licences and registration certificates at the Regional Transport Offices of Chennai (South), Cuddalore and Sivagangai in a Ttme bound manner through the petitioner and until such time to issue formal orders of extension of the contract agreement dated 04.10.2008 in accordance with and as permissible in law in terms of the petitioner's requests contained in its representations culminating in the final representation dated 04.05.2017. to complete the quantity set out in the tender terms.

Mr.J.Pothiraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted a letter dated 23.03.2018 to the Registry seeking permission of this Court to post the above Writ Petition for withdrawal. The matter is listed today under the caption for withdrawal. When the matter is taken up today, a similar request is made before this Court and an endorsement has also been made to that effect.
3. In view of the same, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
