ORDER

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent. This contempt petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to punish the respondent, for his deliberate disobedience of the order passed by this Court, on 13.8.2015, in W.P.No.30855 of 2012.

By an order, dated 13.8.2015, made in W.P.No.30855 of 2012, this Court had directed the first respondent therein to pass orders on the application made by the petitioner, dated

18.6.2012, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of the said order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as the respondents 2 to 4 therein and the other persons concerned, if any. Since the direction issued by this Court had not been complied with, within the time specified, the petitioner has preferred the present contempt petition before this Court.

At this stage of the hearing of the contempt petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent had submitted that there has been a delay in passing the order, due to the bifurcation of the jurisdiction between the Arakkonam and Nemili Taluks. He had further submitted that a proceedings, dated 16.9.2016, had been issued by the Tashildar, Nemilli Taluk, in compliance of the order of this Court and that a copy of the said proceedings had been sent to the petitioner, by way of speed post. A copy of the said proceedings had been placed before this Court.

In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present contempt petition. Hence, this contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
