ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for the contempt of order of this Court made in W.P.No.34225 of 2019 dated 10.12.2019. Page No.1/4
2.Pursuant to the orders passed by this Court on 15.11.2021, the matter was posted for hearing today. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted the communication of the Insurance Company dated 18.11.2021, made to the District Teasury Officer, Ranipet. The relevant portions in the communication is extracted hereunder:
"Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on06.09.2019 and deal with the same on the merits and in accordance with law and take appropriate action within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent along with the copy of the representation dated 06.09.2019 and also the copy of this order."
It is informed that on receipt of the judgement in W.P.No.34225 of 2019 immediate action has been taken by the respondents therein and in obedience of the Hon'ble Court direction necessary instructions have been issued to the United Page No.2/4
India Insurance Company for making payment of the claim of the writ petitioner by the Treasury Officer, Ranipet. It is submitted that in obedience of the Hon'ble Court direction and with a view to implement the orders, a sum of Rs.74,500/- [Rupees seventy four thousand and five hundred only_) has been sanctioned and settled to the writ petitioner's bank account viz., SB A/c No.612202010002422, Union Bank of India, Ambattur Branch through NEFT on 03.11.2021 vide UTR No.21266485706 by the United India Insurance Company. Hence, the Hon'ble Court order was complied with.
Hence, I request the Government Pleader, High Court of Madras to submit the above said compliance report to the Hon'ble High Court of Madras, defend the contempt petition as the Hon'ble Court orders has been complied with. A copy of the compliance report is enclosed for submission tot he Hon'ble Court. 3.In view of the above, no further orders can be passed in this contempt petition. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the non settlement of the entire amount, it is left open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law. Page No.3/4
