ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner Wakf's representation dated 03.12.2024 for grant of a new electricity service connection

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner Wakf owns properties measuring an extent of 8000 sq.ft. comprised in Survey Nos.13, 13/6B, 13/6C, 13/1 and 13/15, situated in Tiruvannamalai District. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.12.2024 to the fifth respondent seeking a new electricity connection of the Dargah under the Tariff II-C. The said representation was forwarded to the fourth respondent. However, no action has been taken thereafter. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner Wakf has made an application dated 03.12.2024 for issuance of a new electricity connection, but the same has not been considered so far.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that for obtaining a new electricity service connection, physical applications are not entertained and only online applications are considered as per the prevailing procedure.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the petitioner to submit an online application with all necessary particulars within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the fourth respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks.
